The Rotary Foundation (TRF) was created in 1917 by Rotary International’s sixth president, Arch C. Klumph, as an endowment fund for Rotary “to do good in the world.” TRF transforms the contributions of individuals into meaningful service projects that bring about positive change in lives, both near and far. With a history spanning more than a century, the Foundation has dedicated over $4 billion to impactful and sustainable initiatives. With the support of generous donors, lives are improved in diverse local communities making a strong global impact.
Rotary Foundation (India)
In India, The Rotary Foundation functions through its associate foundation, the Rotary Foundation (India) [RF (I)]. It is registered as a society in India under the Societies Registration Act of 1860 in February 1988 and provides tax exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act. Rotary Foundation (India) [RF (I)] is also registered with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), hence fulfilling the eligibility criteria to act as an implementing agency for undertaking CSR activities. Rotary members believe that we have a shared responsibility to take action on our world’s most persistent issues. Our 46,000+ clubs are working across 7 areas of focus.
Together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change — across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.
